Utilize Bible verses to encourage yourself and others today and every day.
Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
How it began…
As my journalism career morphed into social media management and marketing, I began looking for ways to utilize my newfound design skills to encourage my family and church family. Designing Bible verses for social media graphic content is a great way to do that! I’ve been encouraged to make a string of them, so if you would also like these graphics for your phone and laptop, be sure to check out my Instagram and Facebook pages to download images there.
But don’t stop there! If you’re crafty, consider using this as inspiration and creating a card for someone you know. Choose your favorite Bible verse (or theirs if you know it) and gift it to them as a dose of encouragement. Don’t shy away from using Bible verses as encouragement for big life events, like the birth of a baby, a high school graduation, or a promotion at a job. Remind young parents to keep the faith, and if they raise their children according to God’s Word, the child won’t depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Congratulate a high school graduate and encourage them to continue staying faithful to God. When a friend gets promoted at work, remind them to stay humble and use their position to shine a light for God.
How incredible is it that no matter where we’re at in life, we have encouragement that can come straight from God’s word? In my walk with Christ I’m always encouraged and humbled by the fact our God is such a loving God who knows exactly what we’re going through.

How you can continue it…
If you aren’t crafty, send an encouraging text! You can simply download any of these social media graphics to send to a loved one or friend (psst – use the Instagram graphics. It’s already sized for text messaging!). Don’t be shy! God’s word is too great to keep it all to ourselves. After all, we are commanded in Matthew 28 to go out in to all the world and preach the gospel. You never know what could come of your note of encouragement!
What’s your favorite Bible verse? I would love to know! Start that conversation over on Facebook and Instagram.
More to know…
Bible passages are an incredible way to encourage others and stay encouraged yourself. We may not think there’s a Bible verse for every occasion, but I beg to differ. With prayer and gaining true knowledge of God through studying His word, we can come to understand Him as we study through Bible passages. I encourage you to take a look at Psalm 46 today. If you’d like to take a look at the New Testament, start with the Gospels to learn more about the life of Jesus Christ, God’s son.
Do you have a Bible? I recommend an English Standard Version like this one for beginners.
